Professional Development
Julie Norman
Professional Development Coordinator
I am happy to be joining the Special Services Department as the Professional Development Specialist. I am originally from Rochester, New York and moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2012.
In 2022, my family and I moved to Gillette where I started the ASD program at Pronghorn elementary school. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and hold two Masters in General/Special Education and Educational Leadership. I have been an educator for over two decades. Over the years, I have enjoyed working as a Speech Therapist, General Education Teacher, Resource Room Teacher and a Special Programs Teacher.
I have also worked with the Wyoming Department of Education and American Institute for Research to coach teachers and building and district leaders in Data Based Individualization (DBI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). It is my pleasure to help support and guide CCSD employees on their professional learning journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters, exploring new places, reading, crocheting and simply relaxing.
