Jason Manley

District Consultant Specialist

I am originally from California where I worked as a School Psychologist. I moved to Gillette and applied with Campbell County School District to be a Behavior Specialist where I am able to use my experience with counseling, consultation/collaboration, and behavior management. I received an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from California State University Long Beach.

I enjoy working with students, staff, and parents to help support the behavioral needs of students so that they be successful in the learning environment.

I recently moved to Gillette with my family and have loved exploring all that it has to offer. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing all kinds of games, and watching hockey.

Michelle Miller

District Consultant Specialist

I have my bachelor's degree in Special Education from Black Hills State University and my master's degree in Administration from Chadron State College. I have taught special education for 12 years at the high school level and extended school year at the elementary and high school levels.

I enjoy working with students, staff, and parents to meet the needs of all students and see them find their own success whatever that may be for each student.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with friends and family, raising sheep, using my border collies on our place and competing in herding competitions, outdoor activities, reading, learning new things, and traveling.

Sheila Rives

Austism Specialist

I completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education at Montana State University-Billings in 2004. In 2015 I earned my English as a Second Language endorsement through Black Hills State University. I have taught Special Education in two states, across all grades levels. My employment with Campbell County School District began in 2006. Since 1999, I have worked in and gained meaningful experience in schools, in-home support/care and residential care facilities and an instructional assistant and 1:1 special needs assistant, manager of two residential home facilities (serving adults and teens with special needs), provided care in and out of the home through the Wyoming Respite Care program, and worked in a private facility for teens and youths with emotional trauma and behavior misconduct.

What I enjoy the most about my job is the ability to continue working with students and families as well as staff throughout our district.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and others, riding horses, riding dirt bikes and simply being outdoors.

Tamara Torrez

Transition Specialist

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Hastings College and a Master’s Degree in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Practices in Schools from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I have taught special education for sixteen years in Colorado at both the elementary and secondary levels.

What I enjoy most about my profession is allowing ALL students the opportunity to grow and to learn. I believe that success in the classroom looks different for each and every student and that every student should be provided with a safe and nurturing environment. Through my collaborative and servant leadership, I love working with staff, students, and parents to really embody a culture that empowers, challenges, and inspires our students.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family. We like to be outside hiking, four-wheeling, camping, paddle boarding, gardening and relaxing.
