Student Testimonials
I have enjoyed studying RE for GCSE as I found some of the topics very interesting. Mark's Gospel was interesting as it made me realise that there is hidden meaning to most of the Gospel stories and they deliver important messages to the readers.
Year 12 was enjoyable as we had class discussions and debates about some of the topics such as family and personal issues and abortion laws where we got to openly discuss pro-life and pro-choice.
Overall, I found my RE studies enjoyable and relevant as the course content studied in Year 12 is relevant to society today.
Niamh, Year 13
I thoroughly enjoyed GCSE RE in both Year 11 and Year 12. Although RE is a compulsory subject, I feel it is very interesting and you learn so much. It is very different from KS3 RE. Especially when you learn about real life things such as abortion, euthanasia and bioethics. Overall, I feel like you will very much enjoy GCSE RE as it is so interesting!
