Discuss why it is preferable for students to see a teacher before going to the sick bay. Think about…

• How many people need to go to the sick bay with someone who is hurt?

• What can an adult help with on duty?

• What might be a big problem and what might be a small problem?

Next, role play asking a teacher or adult to go to the admin area. What information do you need to share with the duty teacher?

If you have time, work in groups and divide a piece of paper into two parts (or create 2 columns on an online document). On one side write down moments when you might need to ask to go to the sick bay, on the other side write down times that you can carry on playing without help.
