This video helps you to upload an image to a Google Classroom Assignment, he is submitting on the same device he took the photo:
If you take a photo on your phone, it is easiest to have Google Classroom on your phone so you don't have to transfer devices
You can take a photo with many different devices (your phone, a tablet, a digital camera or Chromebook etc..)
Another way is to have the Google Drive App on your phone and add it to your Drive, then you can upload it on your Chromebook
Or if all else fails, you can email the photo to your student Gmail account (from your phone/personal account) and then download/save/add it to Google Drive and then submit on Google Classroom
