Ceramics Syllabus 2024-25
So your work doesn't fall apart or explode.
Cover your clay with plastic in between classes to prevent it from drying out.
Score and slip clay pieces together. Otherwise your piece will fall apart!
Wipe bisqueware with a damp sponge before glazing to remove dust and debris.
Handle your project gently and with two hands.
Wipe down your work area and keep it free from clay dust and scraps.
Don't create a clay piece that has areas thicker than your thumb.
Hollow out sculptural forms and put needle holes in the bottom of air pockets.
Don't glaze the bottom of your piece -- it will get stuck in the kiln.
Don't touch another person's work!
