Turn on the lights
Turn the black knob located on the control box to the left of the photo box.
It is recommended to start on full brightness (the lights are diffused already).
Adjust the sweep (the smooth transition from wall to floor)
Cloth - gently adjust the fabric so there are no folds, and there is a gentle sweep.
Plastic - Wipe or dust and let it dry
You may notice that the plastic gets scratched up; this is from the bottoms of ceramic pieces....so please do not drag your artwork on the plastic background!
Set your artwork down on the background, close to the very middle of the box (depending on the size of your artwork).
If needed, you can elevate your piece with a turntable and a piece of cloth, or prop up work with supports.
There is a box with helpful equipment to the right of the box.
Take your Photos
If possible - take your photos straight on, not from above. An angle from slightly higher is fine, but try for none. Bend down if needed!
Take photos from many different angles, but make sure that you do not see the edge of the background/sweep. (Make sure there are no glare spots by adjusting your location, the angle of the camera and if needed, the angle of the lights)
Turn your 3D artwork to photograph several sides of the piece. What sides/angles show viewers the artwork how you want it to be viewed?
Please be careful not to scratch the plastic / or wrinkle up the fabric...pick up your piece and move it.
When you are done - Turn off the lights.
