We are finally getting back to full in-person learning this school year which means some of us may actually have to go out buying supplies and gear to get prepared. In this article, I’ll quickly go over basic supplies you will need but more importantly, some extras that I think can be very beneficial for people to go buy and use to help them through this year!
Of course your gonna need things like your everyday pencils and pens which many people have already but make sure your getting a pencil case that is small enough to easily carry around but big enough for all your writing supplies or markers! You can also grab a pair of earbuds and add them into your supplies because they will definitely become useful at times when watching a video for class or for when (if ever) you have free time!
Supplies like these are easily available in stores like Walmart, Target, even Dollar Tree for very inexpensive items!
You're also gonna need at least some notebooks for classes where you're gonna be writing a lot or taking a bunch of notes. Folders can help you stay organized especially with handout papers to make sure you're not just having a mess of papers in your backpack. Below are some links where I recommend you should pick up some of these items if you're shopping online. :)
With backpacks, it is perfectly fine to use an old backpack that you have used in the years before! That is the best way to save money here especially if your backpack is not completely destroyed or in terrible condition.
For people who would like to get a new one however, I would especially recommended looking at the Journeys. They have a huge selection of backpacks from all kinds of brands and you can easily search for a backpack with the features you need for the school year. As always shopping in person would be cheaper for this but if your staying online, the link is below!
Apps like Mercari and Facebook Marketplace can be amazing ways to get used or like new products for school if your not trying to break the bank with a $40 backpack + more for a lunchbox or other supplies! :)
You can also go the custom route and make your own backpack. Custom Vans backpacks are the obvious choice for some when customizing but you can also try a website called Printify! I will link both below as well.

These items are just a few extras that if you have the money, are kind of cool and sometimes useful to have but are definitely not essential so don't worry if your not able to buy these!
This lamp will definitely not take up much space on your desk and can be a great lighting source for work at home. Additional features include 5 different color temperatures, 7 brightness levels, built in charging port and a 1 hour timer to set for the lamp to turn off by itself!
$25
Having a smart clock like this one on your desk can be used for many different reasons including weather updates, reminders, music speaker, and more! It has a very minimal and simplistic look and is powered by Google Assistant so it has very similar features to an Amazon Echo but instead in a clock form!
$30
Now this one may seem a bit crazy but it really is a Bluetooth speaker water bottle! The speaker function may not be so useful in school but it is still a cool feature for other times you are using it. This water bottle also reminds you to stay hydrated by glowing and can hold a 20 ounces of water or really anything you want to drink!
