Self-Love

As I drag my body to the pure, well-polished mirror
Tears race down my scarred skin
As I look, my eye focus
On the little things
Stretch marks,
Scars,
Bruises,
The never-ending path of sorrow.
I tend to forget the purpose of self-love,
I keep the prize of my love for everyone around me
And trap myself in the horrors of self-resentment
I desire the day that I wake up
And shower myself with the love my body craves for
The feeling that my self-love is the key,
To the blessing of beauty blossoming my heart and soul.
