As Hispanic Heritage Month continues, we found it necessary to highlight important Hispanic figures in history and what they have done to make a change in the world. Although there are SO many people that could be added to this list, we chose just a few to showcase for this article. While reading, you can learn basic facts about these individuals, but this is of course just a starting point and you can always dive deeper into learning about them if you feel so inclined.
Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico and died on July 13, 1954 in Coyoacán, Mexico. She's considered to be one of Mexico's best artists. Frida had a complex life filled with immense physical pain and emotional betrayal. Despite this, she created breathtaking pieces of art such as “The Wounded Deer” and “The Two Fridas”

Eva Peron AKA Evita was born on May 7, 1919 in Los Toldos, Argentina and died on July 26, 1952 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was a famous actress, starring in films such as A Bride In Trouble and Circus Cavalcade. She was also a politician, philanthropist, and served as Argentina’s first lady from 1946 to 1952.
Simon Bolivar was born on July 24, 1783 in Carcass, New Grenada (present-day Venezuela) to an aristocratic family of Spanish descent. Later on, he became known as “El Libertador” for his leadership in the Revolution against Spanish rule over Latin America, which gave many Latin American countries their Independence. He died at the age of 47 on December 17, 1830, not far from the town of Santa Marta, Colombia.
