Clouded

It starts out with a small feeling
It becomes a consistent habit
A loop
Too much time is spent
in a bubble of her own thoughts
Analyzing every conversation over and over again
deconstructing every social interaction
degrading herself
belittling every emotion
feeding in to anxiety & fear
making up scenarios in her head that may never occur
because her mind can never be too silent
Too much at once
Insanity, maybe
The unwanted images that pop up in her brain
Stuck, causing distress
like an evil twin
something that she can’t seem to control
A puzzle piece that she just can’t seem to put together
It’s not her
It’s not who she wants to be.
Here are 5 things that I do to help with overthinking & intrusive thoughts:
Don’t entertain them. It only makes things worse for you.
Write it down. It’s good to have a space to let it out.
Stop ALWAYS looking for reassurance and validation from people. Remember your feelings are valid ♡
Talk to someone. I know it’s easier said than done, but it can be helpful to have someone you can talk to.
Ask yourself: "Will whatever I'm overthinking really matter in the next 10 years?"
