Hello Readers,
We at NQW hope that you all had a wonderful start to your school year! As the stress of the 2021-2022 school year begins, we are excited to introduce our October 2021 issue to hopefully calm some of those nerves and give your mind and body a break for a few minutes.
Over the past month, some major changes have been happening behind the scenes at NQW. We have been recruiting new members to our team using emails and flyers posted around the building. We wanted to grow our team in order to produce and put out the best work possible. We have 7 new members to our staff and we are so thrilled to have them with us! They range from freshmans all the way up to seniors! Along with our new recruits, we have also started in-person meetings! It’s a very new and exciting change after months of having to meet and plan the magazine virtually!
As for the theme of the issue this month, we’re talking all about Hispanic Heritage! We will be spotlighting important figures in history and discussing the differences that they have made in the world. From there, we will be talking about issues within the immigration system. On a less serious note, we will be chewing over the “Capybara Issue” happening in Argentina and also how it interestingly enough relates to class and wealth problems.
This issue is really important to us and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
With love,
Layla Charron - Editor In Chief
