What a great first Awards Assembly of the year. Congratulations to our friends who received awards for their summer reading. What an accomplishment!!
WORDS OF THE WEEK: benevolent, compare
Students are loving James and the Giant Peach! We will be catching up just a bit starting with Chapter 7 on Monday. Our goal is to get through Chapter 12 by Friday. Be on the lookout for those Seesaw journals. What a wonderful way to hear your child's interpretation of the characters in the story and also learn a few new words from them! In math, we will have lots of fun with digits and their place in a number. What is their value? It's all about location! Place value is the topic of the week! Is that piece of matter a solid, liquid, or gas? Your child will demonstrate their knowledge on the first science assessment of the year. Social studies and writing will go hand and hand this week with not only our visit to the SMU Presidential Library/Museum, but our study of the U.S. Constitution for Constitution Day! Lots of learning in 3rd grade Verde next week!
