We had an incredible Veterans Day Assembly today. Brett, Curtis, Caleb, Allison, Hadley, and Makinley all did a terrific job representing our class in front of the entire student body. I was proud of our entire class and the respect and excitement they showed for this special day!!

We will be completing our Pilgrims simulation, so lots and lots of time will be spent this week learning about how the Pilgrims survived during their first year in the New World and the relationships they built with the Native Americans. Through this simulation we will make inferences, compare and contrast, make predictions, and use non-fiction text features to help our comprehension. We are going full steam ahead in our multiplication unit challenging ourselves to get the correct products accurately. All subjects will be taught through our Pilgrims simulation this week, so make sure you are asking about the fate of your Pilgrim and looking on SEESAW for updates!!

We are doing lots of review work and learning test taking skills and strategies in preparation for STAAR testing which is Monday and Tuesday May 13th and 14th. Lots of cooperative learning activities are occurring in the classroom and collaborative learning going on among peers. I'm looking so forward to having this great 3rd grade class SHOW OFF their knowledge to Burleson ISD and the State of TEXAS!!

You made my birthday so special! Words can't begin to express my gratitude. You all went way above and beyond anything I expected. From the door and outside of my room being decorated, to the flowers, gifts, and gift cards! Then lunch brought to me and having my lunch duty covered!! WOW!! The personal cards from the students were absolutely so heart felt and special to me. I'll cherish all of these memories! Thank you for making my birthday so memorable and special! Hugs to everyone!!
