Every single parent showed up for conferences on Wednesday! Thank you for your time and commitment to your child and The Academy at Nola Dunn. I enjoyed speaking with each of you and look forward to working with you all next semester!!
Shout out to Allison and Sutton who were our two ScootPad winners this past week! The competition was fierce and so many students were "right there!" I'm thrilled to see students engaged in this friendly competition that ultimately is helping each of them meet their individual needs as each learning path of SccotPad is unique to your child's needs!!
Christmas Around the World will begin this week. Students will visit each 3rd grade classroom teacher to learn about Christmas in different countries on the continent of Asia. We will begin our end of first semester comprehensive reading and math testing to have data for report cards. Students are still enjoying reading Christmas Magic and I know they are excited to make the real world connection having Secret Santa as part of our Christmas Party on the 21st. In writing we will complete our informative how to writings and in science we are still learning how our earth changes due to volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides and floods.
