I can't believe that the first semester of 3rd grade is coming to a close and Christmas Break is upon us! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your child with me each day. I go home each night with my cheeks hurting from the constant smiling I do all day long and the laughter that fills my classroom. Love to all!!
Christmas Magic is ending and we will retell the book in our own words using a media of your child's choice. How much fun!! I'll being looking for their use of "playful language", (i.e. onomatopoeias, analogies, metaphors). I can't wait to see what each child creates with their own personal spin on Google Slides, Storybird, Powtoons, or Booksnaps! We are also reading many Christmas themed books and looking for similarities and differences in settings, characters, and plots. In math, we will continue practicing multiplication and division word problems to ensure students have a clear understanding of the relationship between the two before the break!!
