What are your overall thoughts about your project? Did you accomplish your goals? Are you happy with your work? Would you change anything?
Example:
I created “Save the Koala’s” using watercolor and colored pencils. I chose to focus on the ways “Artists Communicate” in their work by creating something that expresses my feelings for animals and the environment. In my painting, the koala is scared because it is hanging onto the last piece of his home right before it is about to be devoured by fire. I created this piece because I really love wild animals and I am interested in working in animal conservation when I get older. I was also inspired by the current wildfires tearing through Australia. I started my painting by first researching my idea. Then, I sketched several compositions until I drew one that I was happy with. I wanted to emphasize the fear that the koala must feel. I chose to use the wet on wet and salt technique to add some texture to my artwork. The Studio Habit that I believe I excelled in was “Developing Craftsmanship” because I improved my shading skills. It is evident because my koala looks three dimensional. I was able to use the techniques in a variety of ways and my painting is also really neat and clean. My goal was to make other people more aware of such an important issue. I learned that you must use a variety of techniques in your artwork to make it better. I am very happy with my artwork because I put a lot of hard work into it. Most importantly, I cared about what I was creating.
