Map suitability
A map with a venerable club history. It was the second map in the Bendigo area. Its a useful mix of spur gully, vague flatter areas with thickets and some surface mining features. Being on the edge of Bendigo it has been very well used.
Land Manager:
Parks Victoria
Access issues:
No parking off formed roads.
Dogs only on a leash and on tracks.. This needs to be advertised in event information.
Assembly sites:
This is a heavily used map and its proximity to Bendigo means it is sensible to choose parking areas carefully. Try and choose a site where cars will not be parking off tracks in the bush. A number of the sites below have bitumen access and should be preferred. They are bolded.
Safety Issues:
Map status:
Mapped initially by Fortuna Seekers as Splitters Creek. Then mapped as Wildflower Drive. The third mapping was a complete renewal based on lidar undertaken by Chris Creely. Reliably current.
