Adelaide and Apollo Hills

Previous names:

Apollo Hill. Part of Peter the Great Gully map.

Map suitability

A gently sloped area with many tracks, made suitable for orienteering by the widely scattered mining point features and at times limited visibility. All control sites will be on these point features as the land form contours are too vague. Suitable for red line or simple middle distance style course setting A seasonal highlight is the Whirakee wattle blossom time in early spring. In full bloom the northern part of the map is bathed in swathes of dense yellow.
