Instructions
Now review your Career Connections presentation by collaborating with a peer for a constructive critique. Make any final edits necessary, and then record your presentation.
Step 1: Open your Career Connections Customization file. Make a copy rename it Career Connections Final - Firstname Lastname.
Step 2: Have a reviewer (peer) input comments using the Comments feature to make helpful suggestions to improve your presentation. Incorporate the suggestions made by your reviewer.
Step 3: Review any feedback your teacher has left via Classroom and incorporate these to improve your presentation.
Step 4: Rehearse timings, and create and print speaker notes for yourself.
Step 5: You will also want to "give handouts" to your "audience". For this, just prepare to "print" a version of your file as handouts with 6 slides per page (available in the print preview options). Save a copy of this as a PDF file named Handouts, 6 slides per page. It will go to your Downloads folder.
Step 6: Upload the PDF file from Step 5 to your Google Drive.
Step 7: Record your entire presentation using Screencastify. Click on your action buttons and hyperlinks, play your sounds, and play at least part of your video. You should play around with different settings in the program to ensure that the program is recording everything you want before doing your whole presentation (e.g., make sure it picks up the audio and any time you link to something outside of your slide presentation).
Step 8: Ensure that the .webm file saves properly in Google Drive and review it to ensure that it's exactly what you want. Rename the file to "Career Connections Recording - Firstname Lastname."
Step 9: Review the Rubric. The Rubric contains the same criteria that will be used to assess your final project, so getting feedback from your teacher on your Career Connections project will help you in completing your final project.
