You will also re-examine your personal inventory (or interests and values) and make connections to possible career pathways.
CTS Progression
INF1070: Digital Presentation has no intermediate or advanced level courses that follow. You might, however, be interested in enhancing your ability to communicate visually by taking additional courses in the MDC or COM streams.
Real-World Connections
To be successful in the work world, you need to be an effective communicator. Enhancing your communication in writing, speaking, and visual representations is a vital part of developing as a confident professional, as it will allow you to better convey your ideas, values, and solutions and/or those of your team members. Additionally, whether you are interested in a career in business, technology, health sciences, or trades, all industries are increasingly in need of employees with strong computer skills.
You can use digital presentation software to create, manipulate, emphasize, and present important information. A well-rounded presentation with graphics, multimedia, and animations can be interesting. It can draw your audience into what you are trying to convey, as well as show that you are confident with the information you are trying to convey. Creating exciting presentations that inform or persuade your audience is easy with Google Slides. What you learn will give you valuable and marketable skills that you can use at school and in your career, as well as in your personal life.
A professional portfolio of your work is a valuable tool that can be used for job interviews to demonstrate your presentation skills. Discuss creating a portfolio with your teacher.
