View “Google Slides - Tutorial 03 - Insert and Edit an Image”. For those of you who have worked with PowerPoint, you will recognize that the image editing features of slides are significantly more basic than PowerPoint, and, unfortunately, there are no add-ons at this time.
View “Order and Align Objects and Grouping Objects”
View “How to Embed Charts from Google Sheets in Slides”. All charts in Slides must be modified in Sheets, so to review how to do that, it would be best to go back and review the information from INF1060 Spreadsheets.
View “How to Create & Customize Tables in Google Slides”. Tables work the same as they do in Docs, so you can skip this, review it, or go back and review the information from INF1030 Word Processing 1.
Open Training Room 3: Working with Visual Content. It will contain some review from the videos you watched, but also instructions for tasks to complete (yellow slides), so be sure to read the slides carefully.
Instructions
In your Career Connections slideshow, you have already entered and formatted slide content. Now it is time to add visual interest to your presentation by adding, modifying, and arranging illustrations, charts, and tables.
Step 1: Open your Career Connections slideshow. Make a copy and rename it Career Connections Visuals - Firstname Lastname.
Step 2: Make the following enhancements:
Add Clip Art, pictures, or shapes.
Add a chart or a table. Consider what kind of information in your presentation would be well-suited for representation in this format (e.g., items to compare and contrast).
Apply styles and effects to graphics, charts, or tables.
Align and place objects in order.
Step 3: Review the Rubric. The Rubric contains the same criteria that will be used to assess your final project, so getting feedback from your teacher on your Career Connections project will help you in completing your final project.
Step 4: Submit your file to the Working with Visual Content assignment on Classroom.
