Explanation
In Minnesota, schools are required to drop a student from their attendance roll and consider the student withdrawn from school if their child misses 15 or more consecutive days of school, whether those absences are considered excused or unexcused. If a student is going to be dropped from school, the case manager must inform the building/site Supervisor. The Supervisor will generate a "Stand Ready to Serve" letter to be sent home to the family of the student.
