Related Services
Community Participation
The Development of Employment and Other Post-School Living Objectives

Consider 3 Questions:
What experiences must the student participate in this academic year that are necessary for achieveing the identified post-secondary goals?
What services and specific instruction are essential this year for the student to develop skills and knowledge to attain their post-secondary goals?
do we know enough about the student's vocational skills to identify an appropriate post-secondary employment goal or design activities to support the identified goal?
Tip: Think of what they will get in the classes in the courses of study. You chose those classes for a reason.
SpEd Forms contained a number of drop downs to support your work in this section.
SpEd Forms
In each area list the activities and agencies providing the service. Most often it is BCCS providing it. No area should be blank. The only option one if the last one, "If appropriate, acquisition of daily living skills and provision of a functional vocational evaluation:"
Many drop downs have been added to help you complete this section of the IEP.
A note about providers & wording...
Be thoughtful about listing an agency other than BCCS as providing a service. If they are not providing something on the IEP, a team meeting must be called to address it.
Also, be thoughtful about wording. For example, we can control having a student fill out a VRS application. We can not control the parent/student choosing to turn it in.
