Week 2- Asia & Africa

Morgan/Hill 3rd Grade

Future third graders enjoy tilling in the garden. They are using the vegetables as possible ingredients in their next Asian eggroll.

Rucker/Lawrence 4th Grade

Yorker/Richard 5th Grade

Authentic African cuisine called Jerk Chicken was enjoyed in the child friendly Lay's potato chips version. Students also engaged their palettes with a favorite Asian cuisine called rice noodles with veggies and chicken.

Winkfield/Wallace 3rd Grade

During week 2, our students learned about Africa and Asia. We created African masks and ate fried rice with egg rolls. We also visited the Tubman Museum where the students learned to drum like Brother Kwami. 

Cooper 4th Grade

This week we learned about Africa and Asia. The students were able to learning drumming from Brother Kwami at the Tubman Museum and they even learned the art of African weaving.  

Lacksen 5th Grade


This week, we explored Asia and Africa, tested out different homemade volcanoes, and went on a field trip to the Tubman Museum.
