August

"Soft Start"

The first three weeks of August allowed the teachers and students an opportunity to build foundational relationships. They focused on learning how students in their class learn best, what they viewed as successful teachers, and the dreams and aspirations of our young scholars. During this time, teachers introduced the read aloud learning strategy to reinforce comprehension. Students enjoyed working in small groups as they allowed their minds to venture into the galaxies of the unknown.
