Plan of Action:

Our Montessori students are under the supervision of our Gifted & Montessori Endorsed teacher who provides direct instruction and remediation.

2023- 2024 Q1 Grading Report

Passing all content classes- 84%

Passing 3/4 content classes- 11%

Passing 2/4 classes- 2%

Passing 1/4 class-3%

Plan of Action:

Our staff have been provided with Lakeview Academy's curriculum pacing guide. Our teachers have been provided with Fall I-Ready data and Q1 grades. We have triangulated the data and formulated a curriculum plan for each student. The teachers have aligned after-school tutoring based upon such data. The students have assignments based upon their readiness level, teacher expectations, and pacing guides. On Mondays and Tuesdays, students work on Mathematics fluency and on Wednesday and Thursday, students work on Reading comprehension and writing skills. We will make parent contact during the second week of November. Teachers have made contact with LVA teachers during the months of September and October to ascertain needs. Monitoring will remain in place with amendments placed as needed. We will also implement I-Ready Success Academy within our program. This will allow students maximum exposure for skill development in the areas of Math and Reading.

All Montessori students are passing

Plan of Action:

We currently have ten students who are failing with averages below 70%. We have reviewed their MAPS scores in the Fall and Winter. We have spoken with their teachers and parents. Going forward, we are going to offer small group instruction with three of our teachers whose professional accolades vary from being gifted certified, ESOL endorsed, reading endorsed, and who maintain a mathematics certification from Ga PSC. The three teachers will provide interventions in math and reading for 30 minutes per day during the enrichment time. The struggling students will transition to a second academic support class where they will continue to fortify the academic skills necessary for growth. At the conclusion of two weeks, we will check Infinite Campus to see if the interventions are successful; if not, the coordinator will provide an alternate plan of curriculum.
