Jefrey Luna-Mata, Brennan Tuley, and Luke Dwire are all officially committed and ready to further their academic and athletic careers at Mount St. Joseph University a division III school located near Cincinnati in Delhi, Ohio.
The three boys all played on the legendary 15-1 state runner up football team this past fall where they all excelled, Luna-Mata and Tuley will both continue their football career the next four years.
“I’m so excited to be able to play football for four more years, especially with Brennan who has been one of my best friends since I came to Badin,” Luna-Mata said.
These boys are more than just teammates as they have all been a part of the same friend group for their Badin careers.
“It feels good to have a little sense of security knowing that despite going into a new situation I still have two of my best friends with me,” Tuley said.
Dwire will be continuing his volleyball career for the Lions where he looks to help the team as being a very versatile player who can help the team in any way they need.
“I am very excited for MSJ but I am more locked in on trying to finish the job we couldn’t last year and winning that state title,” Dwire said.
The boys volleyball team is currently 13-2, 1st in the GCL and 1st in the state according to the most recent Maxpreps rankings for division II.
“Everyone always tells me that college is the best time of your life and I really believe it will be with our situation and I can’t wait,” Tuley said.
