The Cincinnati Bengals are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2015 and are looking to break the curse of not winning a playoff game since 1990.
The bengals came into this year projected to finish last in the division after coming off an awful 4-11-1 season with a huge injury to star quarterback joe burrow.
When asked about how it feels to have a winning team back in Cincinnati Badin football captain Henry Birchwell had this to say, “it is really nice to have a winning football team again everyone is really excited about the bengals,” Birchwell said.
The Bengals will face off against the 10-7 Raiders who are led by star Quarterback Derek Carr and elite tight end Darren Waller.
“We have to stop Darren Waller if we want to win and have the offense keep doing their thing,” Birchwell said.
Many people around the city believe this really could be the year, the way the offense has been rolling around and the defense has been stepping up in big moments.
“Yes this is the year that the curse is broken, I think they can go to the super bowl if we stay healthy,” Birchwell said.
