Junior, Sarah Newberry finished her quest for 500 kills. Thursday, September 9, 2021 in a win against Alter High School. The Rams won in 4 sets against the knights.

Sarah is extremely excited to join the 500 club with Badin girls volleyball. Sarah said the only way her accomplishment was made possible was because of her coaches and her training in the off season.

“I think I have worked on hitting new shots, and I have improved where I tip,” Newberry said.

Newberry is happy with the Rams current season as of now but she knows they are not done yet with the tournament coming up in the upcoming weeks.

Newberry says she is not even close to her finish line yet of reaching her goal of playing collegiate volleyball.

“I do want to play in college, right now I am thinking I will go to a d2 school, and I've already visited a few,” Newberry said

Newberry would like to finish her high school career with 1,000 kills which would be the next milestone for her.
