Emmons , the last standing ram, went to state for wrestling for the second year in a row this year. He placed fourth while leaving a good example of how a Badin wrestler should present themselves.
“State was a successful weekend even though I got fourth place,” said Emmons. “It was fun and I am proud of how I finished.”
Through Emmons' four years at Badin, he has always been known as an outstanding wrestler.
“It was a good career. I was a four year starter and I made a lot of friends and great memories.” Said Emmons. “I was a two time state placer and I won leagues.”
Emmons also won many honorary awards; GCL Co–ed Wrestler of the Year, 1st team all-district, 1st team all-GCL, 1st team all-city, and All State Honorable Mention.
“I worked very hard for them,” said Emmons. “I am very grateful for everyone who helped me reach this point.”
Emmons recently committed to play football at Thomas More University. He is going there to play linebacker.
“I love it there. It is by far the best fit for me.” Said Emmons. “I am sharpening my skills and preparing myself for the next step ahead of me.
