The Rams have not been too hot lately; losing to Ross and Winton Woods just this past week. They will take on a 4-11 (3-4) McNick basketball team in a Friday NIght Showdown.
The Rams traveled to McNick for their GCL opener earlier this year. They lost 48-36 in a hard fought game.
“I think we developed but then took steps backward in the last few games”, said Ian Sabourin, a 6’4 senior guard. “We look to go back forward starting tonight.”
Sabourin mentions that in the midst of all of this, the coaches and players are trying to find a solution to this issue of losing so many games.
“The coaches keep mentioning that the coaches keep repeating a broken record.” Said Sabourin. “It is the same problem of not having the right mentality and not wanting to come to practice everyday and compete.”
The game tonight is the beginning of a six game homestretch for the Rams. They hope to get a winning streak.
“We know we need to win to get back on track in the GCL.” Said Sabourin. “It is just the small things that we need to fix. Once we fix those we will be fine.”
