Ely Emmons continues to make strides in wrestling as he approaches the state competition.
“It was alright,” said Emmons. “It just sucked because I was there for about 16 hours.”
Emmons ended his 16 hour wrestling meet finishing 4th in the district to make him advance to the state meet.
“My matches were pretty easy except for two.” Said Emmons. “I ended up losing the two that were not easy but I am not mad because I am going to state.”
Emmons has been wrestling since he was in Kindergarten
“I was kind of a beast,” said Emmons. “I would kind of just drop kids on their heads and win tournaments because of it.”
Emmons has been practicing with the wrestling team at Mason High School after school everyday.
“Kids at mason kind of suck,” Stated Emmons. “Then I beat them up and kind of messed around after that.”
Emmons has only bad intentions in mind as he goes into state to wrestle the top wrestlers in the state of Ohio.
“I plan to win.” Said Emmons. “The only thing on my mind is victory as I go into this event.”
Ely Emmons will head up to The Ohio State University to wrestle for his first State Championship tomorrow at 3:00.
