Badin boys volleyball is in the midst of their best season in school history with multiple records being set and they are all led by head coach Anitra Brockman who has recently accepted the head coaching position for girls and boys volleyball at Central State University.
Brockman became the boys head coach four years ago and was named head coach of the girls team this past fall.
“My favorite memory - it’s so hard to narrow it down to just one. Going to state with the boys team last season, beating Fenwick in 5 during the regional semis for girls last season and the AMAZING season we’ve had so far this season with boys,” Brockman said.
Brockman has been loved and appreciated by so many of her players over her career including record setting outside hitter Eli Halverson.
“Coach Brockman and I have built an amazing relationship over the past four years and I’m so happy we are able to finish out our last season together before we both go to the next level,” Halverson said.
Central State men's and women’s volleyball teams are coming off successful seasons where both teams were over 500 including a combined 23-4 record in conference play.
“I’m very excited to take my coaching career to the next level. Getting to recruit athletes and meet the current athletes as well as make an impact at the collegiate level on both the men’s and women’s team is very exciting for me,” Brockman said.
