Badin has reinstated block days for once every month, with block days comes its positives and negatives. Many students look forward but also dread the longer classes.
“I like flex bell because it’s a nice break,” said Marin Hater.
Others may not feel the same way, such as Jordan VonBargen.
“I don't like my Thursday schedule because it makes the day feel very long and dragged out,” said VonBargen.
The longer classes are not the only aspect of block days, many of the students look forward to the flex bell that is held after the first two classes in the day.
“I like that teachers have more time to add more fun activities into our classes. I also like that it stretches out the day so it feels like we get done with school quicker. The flex bell is also really nice since I don't have a study hall and on block days the flex bell acts as one,” said Maya Craft.
Through the survey sent out many students responded that their homerooms tend to bring in all types of food such as doughnuts, dips and chips, brownies and cookies, pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, and much more.
Many homerooms hold traditions other than bringing in food such as chanting, playing video games, Just Dance, movies, corn hole tournaments, caroling, screaming homeroom numbers and listening to music.
