Have you heard about Badin High School’s new addition? Well, if you have not, we are going to be getting a new sports complex. Here are some insides of what the students have to say about this idea!
To start off, many people think that it is a must, not only because it would make our school look better but also because it gives students a place at home to practice or even have home games.
By having a field of our own, it is very beneficial in many ways other than supporting our school. Not to mention, the funds aren't even through Badin itself, but they are through Alumni.
Talking about the field being multi-use, Rudy Joesting said, “I think it is a great addition to Badin but don't think it will be done in time for my class to use it much. I also like the fact that we will have a track for practices.”
Like he said, he likes the fact that he would be able to use it for track also. When you think of a field, your brain immediately goes to football or at least mine does anyway. So, people who run track, would also have the ability to use the field as well.
However, there are also people who disagree with the idea that it is very unnecessary. People agree that it is better off that we use other people's fields, but what I don't think that they understand is how much money we put forth for that. By having this field paid for to be a home-field, I think it would be more beneficial. But that might just be my opinion.
For example, Carrie Ries said, “I think it's unnecessary, the funds should be used elsewhere, like for the arts and theater classes.”
By her giving this opinion, It seems to me like she might not be as into sports as other people, which isn’t a problem. I could very much be wrong but according to all the other students, this seems to be like a great idea across the board. The most asked part is…when is it going to be finished?
