Spring is upon us and although the weather may not cooperate, people are still carrying on their favorite spring activities.
The weather has been less than pleasant lately and is making more people lose hope for a warm season.
“It’s getting boring working at Flubs when it’s constantly cold and raining. I miss everyone lined up for ice cream on a hot and sunny day,” senior Mary Hunt said.
The bizarre weather patterns aren’t only a problem for getting ice cream, it also affects sports.
“Running in the cold while it’s hailing out wearing a tank top and shorts isn’t exactly ideal. Track meets shouldn’t require blankets and coats to be brought,” junior Evie Otto said.
Other spring sports have also been affected by our unusual weather patterns. Baseball had to undergo a cancellation this weekend due to weather conditions. The team couldn’t finish that last three innings due to the hail coming down.
“I really hope the weather clears up soon because one of the nice things about spring sports is the pleasant weather that allows us to be outside. I would rather not sit in the cold while it’s hailing out for hours,” Otto said.
It appears that this weekend the weather will continue to be less than ideal. With a high of 50s and low of 30s, make sure you are prepared to dress warm for any outside games. Hopefully the Ohio weather will start to shape up before we begin summer.
