The end of the first quarter here at Badin is beginning to come to an end. This means a number of things for the students: projects due, tests to study for, missing assignments to be turned in.
The stress at the end of the quarter is certainly peaking for those who are wanting to raise their grades. For others, it’s just like any other time of the year. Mary Hunt had a lot to say about how her first quarter as a senior has gone so far.
“I am definitely looking forward to putting this quarter behind me. Adjusting to my new classes this year took me a little longer than usual,” Hunt said.
Not only are students scrambling to get in their last grades, but there are also a variety of events going on that will keep students busy.
“Nerf wars started last week and powderpuff football is also this week. It’s just a lot to have in the back of my mind while I’m trying to focus on schoolwork,” Hunt said.
Although it may be stressful now, the end of the first quarter means new opportunities and goals to set for yourself in the second quarter.
“I’m excited for the second quarter to start because that means Winter Break will be approaching. There are also a lot of service opportunities to get involved in as we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas,” Hunt said.
Whether the end of the quarter is a stressful time for you or not, it means a new beginning is approaching in the future.
