Kendyl Roberts competed at the 9th annual WUKF World Championship in the sport that she’s always loved.
Kendyl Roberts has been training in karate for 10 years. Recently going to compete at the 9th annual WUKF World Championships for team USA, she was “... extremely nervous, but at the same time I was really excited to do my best.” Roberts placed 1st in Sai, 4th in Style Specific, and Top 20 in All Style.
Roberts credits some of this success to her sensei, Alex Dell. “I wouldn’t have made it this far without him,” Roberts said.
Roberts met “an amazing group of people,” bonding with people that had the same interest. “I learned that I need to work even harder for next time and I learned what I need to focus on to better myself.”
