The 2022 prom was a big success for Badin high school as a whole as the upperclassmen were able to enjoy a night with a dinner, dancing and a fun night at the web.
“I loved my experience as a whole, I came in with low expectations for the night as I usually don’t enjoy high school dances as much as the average student,” Vornhagen said.
The night began at 6:30 at the Holiday Inn located in West Chester across from Ikea, where the students were able to get professional pictures which were included in the ticket price of $75 per person.
“One of my least favorite parts of prom was the ticket price, I understand that it is not a cheap night with the pictures, dinner, and the hotel in general but I wish it would have been more affordable,” Birchwell said.
The dinner started around 7:45 where there was a buffet with mashed potatoes, beef, chicken, noodles, vegetables, and a salad bar.
“The dinner was not my favorite as I thought they kind of rationed the food to a point where I didn't feel like I got enough but the bread at the salad bar was my favorite by far and I couldn’t get enough of it,” Birchwell said.
The dance floor took off at about 8:30 and never slowed down for the next 3 hours until prom court was announced around 11:30.
“My favorite part of the night was the dancing no doubt, although the music wasn’t great we got after it all night and really made the most of the night,” Vornhagen said.
The night ended with an after prom at the web which included chick-fil-a, laser tag, mini-bowling, and Go Karts.
