The Rams are back in the regional championship! The last time to do it was the 2019 team, 2years ago. They went 9-4 after a rough start but found their groove and made one of the better runs Badin had seen in a long time.
Josh Hegemann was one of the superstars from this special season as he had 18 total touchdowns in 5 different ways.
“We had a good balance of smart, physical and athletic players that worked well together. What also made that special is when a play needed to be made, someone always made someone always stepped up and made a big play,” Hegemann said.
Quarterback Zach Switzer also made some of his best memories while leading the offense to a crazy turnaround during the regional run.
“My best memories from the season would be getting to play with all the guys that you went to school with from freshman year or even longer and get to experience something that is only once in a lifetime,” Switzer said.
Hegemann had the chance to play football at the division 1 level but decided to go to UC to play baseball and get his degree.
“I am currently playing baseball at the University of Cincinnati and just finished our fall ball season and getting ready for the spring season, while studying pre-physical therapy,” Hegemann said.
Switzer decided to continue his football career at the division 1 level while getting his degree.
"Right now I play football at Marshall where I get to become a better QB and learn the game at a much higher level. Badin was a major stepping stone in getting me there,” Switzer said.
