The ACT has been a significant part of getting into college for years now. But, with Covid-19, it has brought many changes in the world including the ACT. Many schools have now become test optional, meaning if you choose not to have your ACT score in, they will review your transcript, letter of recommendations, and your own essay. This can be beneficial to some students, while others may still want their test scores submitted.
Even with the option to submit test scores, students are still encouraged to take the ACT. If you get a pretty good score with where you want to go, using your score could benefit you over someone who may not have their score.
With juniors taking the ACT statewide next week, there are many practice tests and tips we have access to. Naviance has practice tests available to us as a resource. Some major tips that can help save you time is to do the easier questions first, then go back to the ones you were struggling with after. Another tip is to use the process of elimination.
