As the week comes to an end, it seems like the perfect time to reflect on all the enjoyment had this past Homecoming weekend.
But let’s start at the beginning of the homecoming festivities. First was the parade and then the blow out football game.
The atmosphere at every Badin game is amazing, but there’s something different in the air when it comes to the homecoming game.
“I love the atmosphere of the Homecoming game. The excitement and school spirit is palpable,” said senior Case Trokhan.
Kaden Starks had a more enthusiastic reply as to why the football game was his favorite part. “I smacked Alter!” He said.
While both the football game and the dance were a blast, the majority of Badin Students enjoyed the dance more.
“The dance was my favorite part because it was fun to be able to dress up,” said junior Ally Shook.
“This was my favorite part due to it being with a bunch of my friends,” said sophomore Patrick Farrell.
All of the underclassmen had the chance to experience their first homecoming over the weekend. Not only did the underclassmen enjoy their time at homecoming so did the seniors who went to their second homecoming.
“I liked the dance better than the game because personally I don't really understand how football works and would much rather dance with my friends. Although I did enjoy the football game,” said senior Katie Hiernaux.
“I really enjoyed the dance because they added more stuff this year. I loved the photo booth and all of the decorations,” said Hannah Ballinger.
Even with all the enjoyment that homecoming weekend provided, it is a bittersweet moment for the Senior class as well. This was their last homecoming dance and game. Senior Rachel Biddinger was upset by this realization.
“It felt really sad,” Biddinger said, “It made me realize that senior year does go by really fast.”
