After coming back from spring break, students are finishing up the 4th quarter of the school year. The school year wrapping up means many final upcoming events including Prom. Prom is open to all seniors and juniors, sophomores are welcome to come if they are asked by an upperclassmen. Preparation for Prom can be stressful, while also exciting.
Students have many different opinions on prom this year. The preparation before the dance can be the biggest and most stressful part of the whole thing for people. But with all that stress and putting things together, it is all worth it.
“I am so excited for prom Saturday, but I am also kind of nervous! After getting a dress, I still need to figure out my hair and still have some last minute prep including getting my nails done,” Junior Maya Mazes said.
The date of Prom was a stressful factor in preparing. Since it was much earlier than it was last year, people had to prepare much earlier and quicker than they did last year.
“One thing I think that made the whole preparation process more stressful was the date of prom. I feel like it is really early, especially coming right back from break,” Mazes said
Student had different plans and tasks the needed to do for preparing for Prom this weekend
“ The first part of preparing for prom for me was getting my dress. After that, I made appointments for my hair and nails. Then I figured out my group for pictures, dinner table, and overall what the whole plan was before and after prom,” Junior Laura Conner said.
“The morning of Prom I am going to get a haircut, I then need to purchase a black bow tie. I already have a suite so after i complete those tasks, I can begin to prepare for the actual dance,” Junior Aiden Lewis said.
