Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, has been in the music industry since 2004. At just 14, she signed a music publishing deal with Sony/ATV. She released her first album in 2006 when she was just 16. Since then, Taylor has released 9 original studio albums. Starting off with country singing, she has blown up overtime with different genres and many emotions expressed throughout her songs even 17 years later.
Due to Swift's contract with Big Machines Records being purchased by Scooter Braun, she has not owned any albums since 2019 before her album, “Lover.” In the past, Braun and Swift had some feuding going on, causing Swift not to sign with him. Leading him to making investments off of her music up to 300 million dollars.
In April 2021, she released her first re-recorded album, ”Fearless.” Swift is currently in the process of re-recording six of her albums. The new albums she has released have “Taylor’s Version” by all the song titles. In November , she released her popular album, “Red,” with extended songs and also included covers of other singers' music.
The re-release of Red has been extremely popular in the media over the past few weeks. Swift came out with a 10 minute version of her song, “All Too Well,” which has resulted in lots of hype in the media. After 10 years, she decided to release the first draft of her song, which she cut down in the beginning. Swift even came out with a music video to the extended version, describing her relationship and the break up for us to see and hear. She is known for her break up songs , but with this album she was the most open with her break up. With many details in the song to create emotions for listeners, it has been a favorite to her fans. Leading it to be the longest song to be a number 1 but in the Hot 100 chart history
