Stress is very common, especially in kids. With balancing school work, sports, jobs, and other activities, it can be hard to manage stress. Meditation is simple and can be a great way to reduce stress. Taking a few minutes out of your day to meditate can be beneficial, especially when overly stressed. You can meditate anywhere at any time. Meditation has been around for thousands of years. While meditating you focus your attention and discard any distractions and thoughts that are causing unwanted stress. It brings a sense of relaxation and peace, taking you away from tension. Meditation can benefit your emotional and well being. It can bring peace throughout the whole day, not just during mediation. Some emotional benefits are increasing self awareness, reducing negative thoughts, new perspectives on stressful situations, focusing on the present and much more. There are many options and techniques to help you relax. During guided meditation, you create mental images of situations that are relaxing to you. You use many senses and are sometimes guided. Mindfulness meditation is where you bring yourself aware of the citation you are in. you focus on your thoughts and emotions. Yogo is another form of meditation. Yogo is a series of physical movements and controlled breathing exercises to help keep a calm mind. It requires concentration and balance, resulting in focus on your body and movement, and not your stress and thoughts. Meditation can take practice, but giving your mind and body a calm get away everyday can bring peace and eliminate stress, the more you practice it, the more you will benefit.
