Badin offers all different kinds of service opportunities. Whether you like working with kids, animals, babies, or doing hands on work. Lots of kids here are involved and always looking for ways to help others and benefit the world during their free time.
A big part of being a senior is your senior service project. Mary Hunt and Catty Geyer worked with a kid again for their project. The girls and those others who volunteered, help set up at Niederman Farm and pass out candy and food to the kids.
For myself, this was a great experience. I think it was a big eye opener to always be grateful for what you have, even if it's just something a part of a normal day you don't really think about. It brought lots of excitement to see kids happy and knowing that you made a difference to them.
“Catty and I helped out with Tate’s project with a kid again last year. It was a lot of fun and memorable so we decided to go back for our project,” said Hunt.
There were some parts that stood out more to the girls, but they overall were happy to put smiles on kids faces and brighten their days up with candy.
“It was so fun getting to know all the different families. I loved see the kids faces when they got candy in their bags,” said Geyer
