Hello, I am Emma Frodge, a current sophomore and student member of Journalism. Here’s what it is like to be a journalist.
First, this is a very simple task with a twist. If you are a good writer and you enjoy writing stories, then this is a class choice for you. Not only is it pretty simple, but it sure does look good on college applications.
This is my first year taking this class and I will be returning next year if my schedule allows. During the time I have been in the class, I have definitely sharpened my skills and have learned to dig deeper into finding out more about my school and local news.
Not to mention, I have met new people and have gotten comfortable in the environment. I feel like I can say or do what I want without people judging me like people normally would if a student said something goofy. Although, half of the class currently is seniors and that is going to cause next year’s class to be smaller.
Overall, this is a great class full of imagination and creative minds. Even though people goof around most of the time, they never fail to get their work down and maintain a good grade. That is also a GPA booster, which also helps when colleges look at your grades and classes.
