Christina Dennler is one of 2 Spanish teachers here at Badin. She teaches both Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 to all grades. Before coming to Badin, Dennler taught 5 years of Spanish in Columbus and one year at St. Peter in Chains. Dennler is now in her sixth year teaching at Badin.
Dennler has slowly taken over as one of the most popular teachers here at Badin by the students and is now getting recognition from the older generation. Dennler is the schools selection for Educator of Excellence in the 19th annual Harry T. Wilks Hamilton Education Program.
The Harry T. Wilks award is an award dedicated to Harry Wilks who passed away in 2014. Before Wilks died he prided himself in being an excellent educator and to express his love toward the community. His love and excellence is carried on through this award.
Students here at Badin were thrilled that Dennler received this award and believe it was well deserved.
Patrick Ray, junior, took 2 years of Spanish with Dennler before advancing to higher Spanish classes.
“Her smile when I'm entering the room always brightens my day no matter what type of day I am having.. Looking back in time to when I was a freshman, I am so glad that I took Dennler’s class and would 100% do it again,” Ray said.
Along with Ray, Nick Huff who is a sophomore in his 2nd year of class with Dennler. Just like Ray he had a similar perspective of Dennler’s teaching and classroom energy.
“I would definitely take her class again, because she is a great teacher and she makes sure that everyone in her class is understanding what she's teaching,” Huff said.
For anyone that is thinking about taking her class as an incoming freshman, definitely do it you will not regret it.
