It is that time of year again, the weather is getting colder and it's almost time for Christmas!
It is also time for the radio stations to skip over Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas. Although Christmas music is a great way to bring in the festive spirit, some students say otherwise.
Out of 71 responses five people said all Christmas songs were the worst. One said “all christmas songs are the worst if played before Thanksgiving.”
The rest of the students who participated in the survey offered their favorite Christmas song and their least favorite . Out of 73 songs said to be the worst; “Jingle Bells”, both songs by Alvin and the Chipmunks , “All I Want for Christmas is You”, and “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”, were considered the worst.
“Jingle bells” tied for second with “Christmas don’t be Late”. As for first place, the worst song was “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Some considered it over played or over “hyped”. It won with 20 points.
As for the best Christmas songs, there were 78 songs chosen as the best songs as some said.
The best songs for Christmas were; “All I want for Christmas is You”, “Baby it’s Cold Outside”, “Feliz Navidad'', ''Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, and “Last Christmas.” The song “Feliz Navidad” was tied with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for third. “Last Christmas” was put into second place by one point.
In a turn of events the best Christmas song was also considered the worst, “All I want for Christmas is You,” was put into first place with 30 votes. However if you didn’t vote listen to the music playlist below and decide for yourself. After all there were 78 song suggestions for the best and 73 for the worst.
